French TWIST

Our newest challenge yet... To add a new fun twist to a French delicacy - the Croquembouche.

The Croquembouche, literally translates to a "crunch in the mouth". It is a traditional French cake often served at weddings and other important celebrations and is a tree of profiteroles, cream puffs, or macarons.

So we made a tree of Cakeballs! We've already got orders for more so check back soon to see what the next ones look like!

Want to see the FIRST EVER Cakeballs Croquembouche ?!

Well we are dying to show off our newest creation. So here it is:

These were Red Velvet Cakeballs dipped in milk chocolate, covered with purple fondant flowers and sprinkled with powdered sugar! It was a HUGE hit!

We snapped a few pictures of our Cakeball Croquembouche before adding the final powdered sugar touch.

This was for a birthday celebration. We hope the birthday girl LOVED it as much as we did!!

Want to give us a new challenge? We dare you! Ok not really but we would LOVE to give it a shot! We really do love trying new things!!

Seeing Spots

We've been seeing spots lately.

Pink & Brown Spots to be exact!

We made Ladybugs for a shower and have been so busy we forgot to show you how they turned out! (For those of you who were asking where they were - the wait is over!)

We think they turned out GREAT!

They were the table centerpieces for a shower and were placed in pots with green "grass"

These were made with our delicious Chocolate Cakeball recipe! The secret ingredient is the Chocolate buttercream that is mixed into the cake!

Once they were made we wrapped them each in cellophane and tied them with a pink & brown ribbon! It made them even cuter!

The best part was definitely the candy eyeballs we used! They each seemed to have their own personality!

We have just as much fun taking pictures of our Cakeballs as we do making them! Can't you tell?!

Order a Cake Pop, Cake Loli, or Cakeball today!

Definitions:
Cake Pop = Cakeball down & stick up
Cale Loli = Cakeball up & stick down
Cakeball = A cake that looks like a truffle in a cakeball cup

King of the Grill

We have a NEW flavor at The Sweet Touch (and many more are on their way!)

This month's flavor is Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cakeballs! (They taste like Peanut Butter Cups)

So we celebrated our new recipe on Father's Day with...

...Father's Day Hamburger Cakeballs!!

The "buns" are made of Peanut Butter!

The lettuce and tomato are made of vanilla.

AND the actual burger itself is CHOCOLATE!!

We delivered these to the party and were therefore able to snap a shot of them on their serving trays.

We cut one open so you could see the delicious cake inside! We are REALLY excited about revealing all our new recipes soon!

We'll even share a picture of them Post-bun! We thought the lettuce looked really great, but no hamburger is complete without its bun!

AND in case your dad is NOT much of a Griller we have a solution for you...

We hope every father had a very Happy Father's Day!

Baby Blue

We have been busy with Baby Showers, Graduation, Teacher Appreciation, Weddings and of course Father's Day! We'll post more pictures soon!

Here are a few pictures from a Twin Baby Shower last weekend.

Yes surprise! We can also make cakes! At the moment these are only by special request! They do look great on a dessert table next to our cakeballs huh!

The cakeballs were set on top of a glass vase filled with blue crystals and had a candlelight flicker inside to light up the crystals!

We had a great time helping with this shower!

It was such a beautiful baby shower!

So if you need cakeballs, a cake or even a wedding planner or event coordinator we can provide them all! Or at least give you names of our favorite event coordinators!!

Happy Birth-day Mason & Gage!

LA Wedding Mixer

Wedding season is upon us!

We've been busy making Cakeball Wedding Favors, Cakeball Cakes, Wedding Pops, and Cakeball Dessert Tables.

If you are a bride you may have even seen us at an event or two or more!

Here are a few pictures from the last LA Wedding Mixer we did.

We set up a few different ways to give brides (and grooms) an idea of how the Cakeballs could be presented.

We had Bride & Groom Cakeball Favors as well as a glass showcase with candlelight surrounding yellow rose petals.

We also made a rich purple flower for our Red Velvet Cakeballs.

Of course a wedding is not complete without flowers and as always thanks to Rose at Ultimate Affaire for providing the yellow rose petals and roses for our table!

We featured our top flavors Red Velvet infused with Cream Cheese, Chocolate mixed with Chocolate Buttercream, White Wedding Cake with Vanilla, German Chocolate with pecans & coconut, Lemon with our special Buttercream recipe and Carrot Cake mixed with a creamy Cream Cheese icing.

We love adding flowers to our Cakeballs!

Everyone here at The Sweet Touch agrees though that the BEST part of making Cakeballs is the joy on a person's face as they eat one for the first time. It makes all the work completely worthwhile!

Thanks to our Beautiful Blushing Brides and Brides to Be that came and enjoyed a few Cakeballs.

We are excited about becoming a part of your wedding!

A special thanks also to the hosts of this mixer and to all the other venders! All in all it was a great event!

My FIRST Cakeball

We LOVE birthday parties here at The Sweet Touch cakeballs and FIRST BIRTHDAYS fall at the top of our list of favorites to bake for!

Our dear friends' daughter just turned ONE and we were honored to be asked to bring Cakeballs over for her first taste of sugar! (There is no better way to start in our opinion)

We wanted to make these special so we made Cupcakeballs for her party!

Oh you want us to stop typing and post a picture already huh?!

Ok here it is. The Cupcakeball

We put them all together in a Cupcakeball bouquet...

next to Cakeballs with the Number 1 on them!

We set them all out for the Birthday Girl to spot as soon as it was time to sing to her!

Then came the BEST part! Singing to precious Remi...

Making a wish and helping her blow out her First candle...

and finally... watching her eat her FIRST CAKEBALL

Happy FIRST Birthday Remi! From everyone here at The Sweet Touch - we wish you a lifetime filled with joy & Cakeballs! We are so thrilled to have been part of your special day!
